question on hosts file - EBS

Dear Erman,

DNS resolves the domain names to IP address then why do we need hosts file in our machine with domain name -> IP address mapping in EBS?

Good question.
Probably, the cause of this is that there are some codes in EBS Apps Tier, which read the /etc/hosts file.. (which can not get the hostname from DNS)..
