eBS R12.2.4 Adcfgclone Issue

Dear Erman,

While running adcfgclone appsTier on OEL 6.8. I am getting the following error

adcfgclone Fails on Apps Tier with Error :
sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.10.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


Consulted the oracle document 2390797.1 and different forums but they were on RHEL 7. However i am facing issue on OEL 6.8.

Please suggest the solution.

Probably a link error.

In a cloned ORACLE_HOME  (in your case it is APPS ORACLE HOME),  the symbolic link for libclntsh.so.10.1 may point to the absolute path rather than a relative path
ls -l %ORACLE_HOME/lib/libclntsh.so*  and check where the link points to. Ensure the link is correct.

Also ensure all the required rpms are installed..
Check the EBS APPS Tier installation for OEL 6.8..
It may be related with the rpm named compat-libstdc++

Yes you are right its giving the absolute path rather than giving the relative path. Can you please let me know how to change it.

It should be a soft link basically.. These links can be created using "ln -s" in Linux env.
However; running relink from the affected Oracle Home may also fix it.
I mean, with the correct env set; cd $ORACLE_HOME ; relink all

Dear Erman,

My issue has been resolved. I have observed that  libclntsh.so.10.1 library was not present on my system. So i moved this library from another system, created the link and adcfgclone went well.

However, one thing i have observed before running adcfgclone and changing the symbolic link, i restarted the machine and once machine came back symbolic link was on its previous setting and it failed the adcfgclone script as well. Then i ran the adcfgclone without rebooting the machine.

I need to know will it make any problem in my future tasks, since machine is going to be running in production environment.

and at times machine are required to be restarted for some maintenance tasks.

Your move is not a stable one. Probably Linux clears it during the boot process..

Please ensure all the required rpms are installed..
Check the EBS APPS Tier installation for OEL 6.8..
I believe your link problem will be fixed after installing the missing rpms.
