database installation error 11g

Oracle Database 11.2.0.3/4 setup
Red Hat Linux 6.8

Hi Erman,

when installing Database 11g, we are getting

Upon extraction: inflating: /u01/database/stage/Components/oracle.sysman.console.db/11.2.0.3.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup8.jar   bad CRC 53084cfa  (should be 7e35651d)

Please advise.

Hi Roshan,

"invalid CRC" error probably indicates a bad file or bad extraction.

Download the file again and ensure that the downloaded file size matches the file size expected.
If your downloading to another server, upload the file in binary mode.
Extract it again ( ensuring you have enough space to extract)

I downloaded the software from oracle support as patch 13390677 and I was able the proceed.
