Selection of DB SID While running adcfgclone appsTier

Dear Erman

I just have little query regarding selection of DB Sid while running adcfgclone appsTier on RAC DB. I had an understanding that we need to give the db sid and VIP of first db node. It will automatically add the other db nodes.

I did it and found that aplication make jdbc connection with vips of all db nodes running in a cluster.

However, i though that we need to make jdbc connection with scan address of RAC DB. Pl let me know what are the recommendations on it.

Dıe to complexities, the applications tier should initially be configured to connect to a single database instance during cloning.  So the scan based load balancing comes into play at a later stage.
