satish
Hi,

Thanks for sharing the knowledge

we have added oacore in R12.2.5 in run file system.

do we need to edit fsclone_config.txt to reflect the new servername and port or how does it get reflected in this file

Thank You,

Grill

Hi Grill, This is  documented.
As stated in Managing Configuration of Oracle HTTP Server and Web Application Services in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (Doc ID 1905593.1) -  4.4.1 Adding a new managed server

You don't need to edit fsclone_config.txt..

As the document states: During the next adop prepare, the Configuration Change Detector identifies that the addition has been made and the managed servers are automatically synced up from the run file system to the patch file system. The synchronization also gets done when fs_clone is executed.

Run adop prepare if you want, and see if the files that you are interested in, are populated as you expect.

if you added it on 7205, it will be on 7206 on patch fs.
So, the next value (after the current one ) will be taken on patch fs.

so the same behavior (in terms of switching ports) will be the behaviour of these newly added managed server.
That is, if you add an oacore, then you will see the same kind of port switching behaviour during the cutover, will be there for your newly added oacore, as well. (in terms of ports

This is from my book:
http://www.apress.com/br/book/9781484214237

The Managed Server port should be chosen in a way that it does not conflict with the listener ports of
other Managed Servers running in both the run environment and the patch environment. That is, if you
have your oacore_server1 listening on 7201, it means it will listen on 7202 after you make the cutover while
applying a patch. So, in such an environment, if you want to add a new oacore server named oacore_server2,
you must not configure it to listen on these ports. However, you can configure the new oracore server to
listen on port 7203 for this environment, as this port is not used by the run edition or patch edition at all.
