EBS R12.2 Migration from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8

Hi Erman,

Hope you and your family fine!

I was having doubt regarding EBS R12.2 thought taking advise from you.

We have EBS R12.2 environment and we are planning to migrate only application from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8. I am seeing only EBS clonning only method for migration but one of my friend has suggested to copy the file system and change the hostname references . Do you think this methods will work with EBS R12.2 ?

Thank you. Everything is fine Tabrez.

EBS 12.2 is certified with RHEL 8 and OEL8. So no issue with that.

You will do cloning.. You will copy the apps tier, yes. But you have to run postclone afterwards (cause you are changing the hostname.. Post clone is safer.. It will do the autoconfig as well.)
