Hi Erman

Hope you are doing good.
We are in planning phase and customer is keen on migrate and upgrade their exiting EBS 12.1.3 to EBS 12.2 alsong with 19c Db in VMware. So from Vmware perspective, i have some couple of questions for you

a) Benefits of Using VMWare in an upgrade:- I
b) Issues/Problems faced using that tool

Thanks

I recommend you to use an Oracle virtualization..
KVM or OVM..

Vmware is supported, but it has disadvantages for Oracle licensing.
Your databases will be licensed according to your Vmware "host" cpu counts.
No matter how many virtual cpu cores your vm machines have, you need to license your databases and applications according to your vmware host  cpu.. So keep that in mind..
In other words; cpu pinning and hard partitioning on vmware is not accepted for Oracle licensing..
